Day of the African Child Celebration 2025

On June 16, 2025, Save Life Christian Ministries joined hands with Koboko Archdeaconry Children’s Department and several primary schools to celebrate the Day of the African Child

The celebration brought together children from across Koboko in a vibrant and purposeful gathering aimed at not only commemorating this important day but also instilling values of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship.

The day began with an inspiring children’s assembly, unity, and purpose were shared. Children were reminded of their God-given potential and the power they hold to transform their communities.

One of the main highlights of the celebration was the community clean-up drive. The children enthusiastically took part in cleaning Koboko Hospital and streets of the town center, picking up litter, sweeping streets, and raising awareness about hygiene and sanitation. The activity served as a strong statement on the role children can play in nation-building and public health.

This celebration was not only an opportunity for children to engage with the community but also to learn by doing—understanding the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and taking action as responsible future leaders.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participating schools, churches, local authorities, and volunteers who made this event a success. Special thanks to Koboko Archdeaconry for their partnership and shared vision.

Together, we are raising a generation of responsible, God-fearing, and proactive African children
