Board Chairman and Finance
Leader, Speaker and Mentor are the closest words to describe him. First a passionate well -wisher and swiftly finding his way into the inside of the ministry, Charles Okuonzi has served in the Board of Save Life Ministries for two years since 2018. His passion for the Gospel coupled with upright and purposeful living especially among the youth has carried him from place to place throughout Uganda and even across international borders to Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
Mr. Okuonzi is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theology – Church Planting and Community Development from Africa Renewal University, Kampala, which has polished his perspective of ministry and sharpened his skill and art of presenting Christ to this generation. This qualification places him at the cutting edge of strategic planning, guiding, vision-shaping and people-focused mission design and implementation. Besides the Christian career, Mr. Okuonzi also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Uganda Christian University and a Diploma in Education, Secondary; professions that facilitated his selfless service in various church-centered and mainstream platforms. Mr. Charles possesses a rich history of professional service with various local and international organizations like World Vision in the West Nile Refugee Response (WNFAP); Adjumani, Moyo, Arua and Yumbe districts; WFP-OLS and WFP-DRC Relief Operation Koboko Transit Base; 18th Strategic implementation of WFP-OLS Relief commodities handling to South Sudan and RD- Congo. Norwegian Peoples Aid-OLS; from February 2004 to December 2007. Widowed in 2018 when his wonderful wife succumbed to cancer, Charles is still a strong, happy single father of four blessed childrentwo boys (Paul Courageous and Corneleous Tandi) and two girls (Ruth Cynthia and Kezia Rejoice). By the grace of God, Okuonzi and his family have created a large network of faithful and truthful friends and influenced many other families and individuals. His family started few family ministries at their humble level, including a Family Altar; Family charity ministry and a primary and nursery school in the community they live in; the Lord is keeping them moving till now.
Outside the corporate world, Charles is a sportsman, he loves going out for picnics and retreats, reading Christian literature, making new friends and finding solutions to puzzles.
