A seasoned Christian leader and servant would be a great line to start with. Rev. Can. James Alege Wani was appointed to the Board of Save Life Christian Ministries in 2020 in which he is faithfully serving in various areas of interest. Can. James is a priest in Koboko Archdeaconry, Ma’di & West Nile Diocese in the Church of Uganda since 2007 when he was ordained into priesthood. He has served in several parishes in Koboko Archdeaconry besides other official assignments and delegations within the Archdeaconry secretariat. Rev. Alege holds a Diploma in Theology from Bishop Allison Theological College, Arua, which was affiliated to St. Paul’s University, Limuru in Kenya. He also holds a Certificate in Theology from the same College. He has undergone training in Islam Evangelism under Open Door Evangelism, Kenya; Christian Response to HIV/AIDS under Bishop Allison Theological College; Financial Management and Accountability under Uganda Management Institute; Conflict Management and Sexual and Gender-based Violence supported by Advance Africa and European Union; Langham Preaching Seminar organised by Derby Diocese, UK and Langham Preaching. Rev. James has participated in a number of Christian projects that further the agenda of the Gospel including, Bible Translation by SIL Uganda; Jesus Film Translation into the Kakwa language; Radio Preaching Ministry on Spirit FM Koboko during the 2020 COVID -19 lockdown, a project run by the Church of Uganda, Koboko Archdeaconry. He has also facilitated in several Youth Conferences within the Archdeaconry and spoken at different platforms, spreading the Gospel of Christ. His expertise in the Kakwa language and basic knowledge of most common languages around West Nile and nearing borders has made him an ideal choice for translations especially during major events and crusades.

Rev. Can. James Alege Wani is married to Mrs. Wilaru Grace Alege and he is a proud father of nine children whom they have raised together. They now live in Birijaku Parish, Koboko where he is currently serving as a Parish Priest.
