we believe that when young people are equipped with practical skills, they are not simply given training—they are given hope, dignity, confidence, and an opportunity to build a better future.
We are delighted to celebrate an important milestone in our Tailoring Skills Training Programme. After five months of dedicated classroom and hands-on training, our tailoring students have successfully completed their training and are now beginning their internship placements.
Over the past five months, the students have worked hard to develop practical skills in garment construction, sewing, pattern cutting, fabric handling, clothing production, and entrepreneurship.
Now, they are taking the next step—moving from the classroom into real working environments where they can put their skills into practice.
Through their internships, the students will gain valuable workplace experience, learn from experienced tailors, strengthen their confidence, develop professional discipline, and prepare for employment and self-reliance.
Our training is about more than teaching a skill. It is about creating opportunities for young people to become self-reliant, productive, and hopeful about their future.
We are praying that the knowledge and experience gained through this programme will enable our students to pursue employment, establish their own businesses, support their families, and contribute positively to their communities.
Every stitch they make, every garment they complete, and every new skill they master represents another step toward a more sustainable future.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to CMS Ireland for your faithful partnership and generous support towards this programme.
Your support has helped create an opportunity for young people to learn, grow, and prepare for a better future. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to walking alongside SLCM as we seek to transform lives, build hope, and empower communities.
Please Pray With Us
As our students begin this new chapter, we invite our partners, friends, and supporters to continue praying for them.
Please pray for wisdom, protection, confidence, good mentors, successful internships, future employment, and opportunities for self-employment.
We believe that this is only the beginning. We look forward to seeing these young people use their God-given abilities to transform their own lives, strengthen their families, and make a difference in their communities.
From five months of training to a future filled with possibility—God is writing a new story through every student.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10
